I know tumblr hates old white men but i think we should like this one…and elect him to be president. 

I don’t often share my political views on social media but now is the time that I feel moved to do so. I’ve grown up being extremely cynical about politics. They say our vote counts but whoever we elect makes little difference because they’re owned by the same money. Here’s our chance to get back to what America is actually about and work towards rebidding a country we can be proud of.

Here are some things that Bernie is about:

– Get Big Money out of elections
– If a bank is too big to fail, it is too big to exist
– Get serious on climate change
– Make Election Day a national holiday
– Healthcare for all
– Affordable/free public college education (through a tiny tax on each stock market trade)
– End the War on Drugs
– Legalize gay marriage
– Allow states to handle many gun control issues
– Tackle income inequality through higher taxes on the 1%

Wouldn’t it be nice if we stopped electing bought politicians and got someone in the White House who is going to change things up? 

(incase ur too lazy to watch the video haha:)hes also been doing all these things his entire political life! unlike the other candidates who have only adopted some of these vote hungry tactics for the campaign (ahem, HILARY). hes done great things in his state and has remained an independent party (and IDs as a socialist) for like…hella haha

BUT since he threatens so many of those in power, and his lack of financial strength, the chances of him winning without a public outcry is v small 🙁 so look into him pls!! and even if you dont dig him, make sure to vote. the fact that the youth pop of the midterms was like 21%….UM,…..we can do better 

I wish he wasn’t running in the Democratic primary because I like that he’s an Independent. However, YES to the above.
