# no but what i love about scotty is that he’s not selfish at all # he isn’t driven by his ego or his pride # the reason he leaves the ship isn’t because he feels he deserves better (which he kind of does) # it’s because he genuinely cares for the ship # and he can’t bear to let anything to happen to her under his watch # and then when jim calls him asking for help # he barely hesitates #he makes like a pale imitation of resistance but everyone knows that he’s going to do it anyway # it’s this stupid unconditional loyalty and love that is my favorite thing about scotty # he’ll punch a klingon in the face if he so much as looks at his silver lady the wrong way (tags via warpfactors)
