Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Robert Piersanti grew up in South River, NJ. He quickly was fascinated by famous legendary imagery that surrounded him. These landmarks were the driving force behind his amazing illustrations that led him to fame.
Formally known for his editorial illustrations, Jersey City artist, Piersanti had his breakthrough gig with Entertainment Weekly, followed by regular spots for Smart Money, Musician, Guitar World, New York Magazine, New York Daily News, New York Press, and various other publications. Additional work followed, with book and CD covers, advertising assignments, radio station promotional art, and television storyboards.
Vintage Movie Theaters, Classic Luncheonettes, Candy Stores are just a few examples of these key motivating places. Please check out his Website for more information on him and his work.
A special thanks to Glen of the hair salon, Glen Goldbaum in Red Bank, New Jersey for introducing me to his art.
