Stop telling women that we should find ourselves beautiful and that we should love ourselves when you are standing right there, judging us on how our knees look in short skirts and how prominent our boobs are in a sweater and how much makeup we are or are not wearing.
Instead of us working harder on “love your body” and “find your inner beauty”, the rest of the world should be working harder on “stop telling women their bodies are a shameful place to live but that if they’re strong enough, they will learn to embrace that shame.”
This is my body. It’s not “beautiful”. I don’t “love it”. I don’t have to. I don’t have to have any strong feelings about my body. And whatever feelings I do have are not somehow invalid if they’re not glowing reviews.

This shit needs to be said more often.

Actually this makes me mad, because the only person that has to be happy is you. Male or female.
People need to stop spending their time worrying what others think.
You want to Cosplay, do it.
Want to dress up in a tux, do it.
You want to exercise in clothes that show your figure, do it.
But do it for you, and no one else.
Fuck what other people think, they don’t matter.
Love yourself, I say hell yeah! It’s your body, if you don’t love it, why should anyone else?
Want to be fitter? Stronger? Whatever? You have the power!
We can’t change everything. I can’t be taller than I am, but I can accept it, or I can embrace it, and say fuck you to people who would look down on me because they believe I’m less of a person.
I always start by being happy with who I am.
And like the wizard of oz said, “A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved, by others.”
It’s way easier to love a happy person, rather than a depressed bitter person. So think about it.
